Fr. Christian Saenz, SJ Begins his Tertianship in Oregon

Our Director, Fr. Christian Saenz, SJ, is continuing his Jesuit formation by embarking on his Tertianship. Fr. Christian is spending his summer in Oregon to complete his Tertianship. Tertianship is the final formal period of formation in the Society of Jesus. The Provincial usually invites men to begin Tertianship three to five years after finishing Formation or Graduate Studies.

Join us in praying for Fr. Christian as he begins this final period of his Jesuit formation.

Eric Lastres Enters the Society of Jesus

We are very happy to announce that Eric Lastres, founder of the Esto Vir Group and Alumni from Belen Jesuit class of 2018, has been accepted into the novitiate in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and will begin his journey into the Society of Jesus in August. Eric stopped by the ACU on Wednesday to share this great news with the members of the Miami Chapter as well as some of his fellow members and alumni of the Esto Vir Group.

ACU Young Professionals Group

The ACU Young Professionals Group continues to grow in their Catholic formation and understanding of the Agrupacion. They met twice last week covering the topic of apostolado. On Wednesday, June 2nd, they met with Congregantes Willie Cueto and Mariano Perez during the Miami Chapter’s social. Willie and Marty gave a testimony on what apostolados they have done and how it has affected their lives.

Catholic Young Professionals

Beginning today, October 20th, the Catholic Young Professionals in Miami will proceed with three new small group forums based upon suggestions from the young adult community and continue with the education forum. The small groups will be moderated by members of the CYP planning team and, in some cases, past speakers.

Esto Vir Group

The Esto Vir Group met last Tuesday evening on ZOOM. This week, the group discussed pornography and its distortion of sexuality as ordained by God. The group addressed some alarming statistics as to the rise of pornograph, especially during the pandemic.

Fr. Amando Llorente, SJ

Amando Llorente was born in a small agricultural town close to river and mountains and to St. James Way, near Leon, Spain. As a young man he practiced and loved wresting enough to publish a small book on the subject (Luche Leonesa).
