This past week members of the Esto Vir Group at the Miami Chapter participated in some service activities. First, various members assisted in preparing the mailing of the Esto Vir 2021 publication. They bageed, labeled and stamped the mailing. Second, four members assisted the Knights of Columbus in hosting the Respect Life brunch in Comber Hall at St. Theresa Parish in Coral Gables. The four members were Anthony Iturbe, Hely Santeliz, Alex Sanchez, and Lucas Jimenez.

The Esto Vir Group at the Miami Chapter met last Tuesday, September 20th for their second meeting of the academic year. In keeping with the theme for this semester - faith in practice - the group discussed confession. They address the nature of sin and repentance and then the practice of the sacrament of reconciliation. The group is also on its third week of offering weekly prayer opportunities: rosary on Monday, divine office on Wednesday, Bible study on Friday.

From August 9 to August 11, ten young men from the Esto Vir Group in Miami attended the Spiritual Exercises in Miami with Fr. Juan Ruiz, S.J. at Morningstar Renewal Center.

The Miami Chapter held a cigar night for the Esto Vir Alumni that returned from college. 13 of the alumni came to the ACU House for a meal, cigars, and drinks. They were accompanied by a handful of Agrupados as well. The alumni were able to reconnect with another, connect with the Agrupados, and continue to form a bond with the ACU through cigars and dominoes. Some of the alumni brought their fathers to introduce them to the ACU as well. The Miami Chapter continues to foster a relationship with the alumni of the Esto Vir group to keep the door to the ACU open for them as a community of faith.

Last Tuesday, May 24th, the Esto Vir Group in Miami held its final meeting of the academic year. The Group hosted 2 alumni on a panel to discuss the transition from high school to college. The panel had a wealth of information to share on topics such as faith, academics, social life, and studying. The panel included one of the ACU Aspirants, Marco Barbosa, class of 2020, currently a member of the UM student group. Marco is studying finance at FIU. The other panel members included:

This past Friday night, May 6, 2022, members of the Esto Vir Group traveled to Aventura to see the film Fr. Stu, starring Mark Wahlberg. Picture from left to right are Oscar Miñoso-Rendon, junior, Michael Martelly, senior, Henry Amador, sophomore, Alexander Sanches, junior, and Lucas Jimenez, junior. The group traveled together to see the film and then had dinner to discuss their impressions of the movie.

Last Tuesday, April 12, 2022, two members of the Esto Vir Group, Alexander Sanchez (pictured left) and Lucas Jimenez (pictured right), both Juniors at Belen Jesuit, assembled the adirondack chairs that were placed in front of the statue of Our Lady. Lucas Jimenez led the Esto Vir Group in a presentation on the Shroud of Turin later that evening during the Group's final meeting before Easter.
