UM Student Group Goes Cycling

UM Student Group Goes Cycling

Our Director, Father Christian Saenz, S.J., accompanied the University of Miami student group on a cycling outing through Everglades National Park last Saturday.

The day started with gator ribs for lunch at a popular destination near Krome Avenue.  Then it was off to the Everglades where the students were led by a National Park Service Ranger on a hike through a nature trail.

A local guide then took over and cycled with the group on a 15-mile historical tour of the Everglades, including a short history of the local Indian tribes.

Among the cyclists were Father Leo Siqueira, the Catholic Chaplain of the University of Miami, and several Agrupados.
