Esto Vir Group

Last Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the Esto Vir Group in Miami to discuss the Magisterium. The Group reviewed the hierarchy of the Church, how it was established, and how it functions. The purpose of the study was to develop a greater awareness of how our Church pronounces the doctrines and dogmas of our faith and exercises its teaching authority, which was handed down from our Lord to the first apostoles. This week, we will take a closer look at Lent and how the Exodus 40 program invites us to experience Lent through self-discipline and age old ascetic practices. Next week, we will look at the deposit of faith entrusted to the Church and from which the Magisterium draws out the dogmas and doctrines. The theme is Do You Know the Way and we will take a closer look at our Catholic faith and how it instructs in the faith as well as looking more in depth at the various doctrines and teachings that make up the Way. The Group will review various encyclicals and other papal documents that teach us about our faith. This week, the Group will discuss the Magisterium and learn how our Church discerns and disseminates the dogmas and doctrines that guide our faith.
