Update on the 90th Anniversary Assembly

Dear Agrupados,

Happy New Year! May the Lord through the intersession of His Blessed Mother protect you and your family in 2022!

Last month, the ACU celebrated the 90th Anniversary since its inception in 1931. We had three days of joyous reunion and events including a beautiful Mass with the principal celebrant our brother Agrupado Cardinal O’Malley. We witnessed the consecration of fifteen new congregants in the ACU during the Mass.

One of the events of the weekend was the ACU 2021 Assembly that took place on Friday, December 3, 2021, at the ACU House in Miami.

I write to inform all Agrupados about the follow-up to the Assembly. As we communicated during the preparation of the 90th Anniversary events, a major objective of the Assembly was to prepare and submit recommendations to the ACU Consejo General (the ACU Board of Directors) that could be used to prepare a ten-year strategic plan for the ACU. We are planning to complete this task during the next few months.

We gathered the feedback from the Agrupados that participated in the Assembly. The next step is for the ACU 2021 Assembly Committee to summarize the feedback and prepare a formal document for submission to the ACU Board. Please pray that we will have inspiration and discernment to prepare useful recommendations.
