Last Sunday, Pablito Carreño spoke to the students about St. Ignatius' beautiful "suscipe" prayer of surrender:

Take, Lord, and receive all 

my liberty, my memory,

my understanding, and 

my entire will.

All I have 

and call my own.  

You have 

given all to me.

To You, Lord, I return it.

Everything is Yours; do

with it what You will.  Give

me only Your love and

Your grace.  That is enough

for me.

The "suscipe", from the Latin word "receive", is found towards the end of the Spiritual Exercises under annotation #234. The Spiritual Exercises under the direction of Father Christian Saenz, S.J. will be offered over the upcoming Memorial Day weekend tailored to the students. With a couple of exceptions, they will be the first Spiritual Exercises for them.
