University of Miami Student Group
The University of Miami student group resumed its Sunday meetings. We are blessed with new students interested in joining the group. The students now range from freshmen to graduate students enrolled in the school of marine science, law, as well as medical school.
At the last meeting, Ramon Ferrer gave a well-received talk on how to improve communication and presentation skills.
The students are planning a snorkeling trip to John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo to visit the "Christ of the Deep" statue submerged in one of its coral reefs.
“It was a wonderful experience to see so many young men taking a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon to learn about how to become better men. It is obvious that the kids that are already in the program are making an impact and encouraging others to come and see what the ACU is all about. It is also a great motivation to all of us to continue working with Ray in providing these kids with guidance and mentoring.
Ray has done an incredible job as an instructor, coordinator and leader. When you go to one of these meetings, you can appreciate the time an effort that it takes to prepare, organize and direct a group like the UM student group. I am sure Father Llorente is very proud and jumping up and down in heaven right now.
Thank you Ray for the opportunity to share with you guys. I can assure you that I received a lot more than the little time I gave.”
