Meet Teresa Fernandez Soneira

The Canonization Commission on behalf of beatification causes in favor of earthly glorification of both its founder, Felipe Rey de Castro, SJ, and his successor and restorer of the ACU “abroad,” Fr. Amando Llorente, SJ, had been seeking worthy and distinguished biographers for these two men of God and for the most exemplary fruits of their work, men of the Agrupacion Catolica Universitaria. The commission has also embarked on three videos that will precede the publication of the biographies, the first of which is already available on the ACU YouTube Channel — Apostles of Marian Sodalities. Teresa Fernandez Soneira, a native of Cuba, in Miami, is published author of various works of history related to Cuba. Among them, and of particular interest to the Commission are 

CUBA: A History of Catholic Education 1582-1961 (2 vols.)

With the Star and the Cross -  a history of the Federation of Catholic Cuban Youth in Action (Federación de la Acción Católica Cubana) (2 vols.)

Leading Children to Success - Centro Mater of Miami, its history and collaborators (bilingual edition), all available from Ediciones Universal, agrupado J. M. Salvat's publishing apostolate that, along with his personal fight for the freedom of Cuba, is one of the jewels in the Agrupacion’s crown. Teresa has taken a break from her current three-volume work on Women of the Homeland (Mujeres de la Patria) in order to tackle the life, work and fruits of Fr.
