Gratitude to Carlos "CJ" Cristobal

We are saddened to announce the departure of CJ Cristobal, the Media Communications Specialist, as he seeks to further his career in communications. CJ has been a blessing to the ACU and his efforts have assisted us in launching a new and effective communications platform. CJ graduated from Belen in 2016 and then completed his Bachelor’s in communications and digital media at Florida International University and his Master’s from Arkansas State University.

CJ began his employment at the ACU in April 2019 as a part-time assistant and quickly became familiar with the needs of the ACU and established an effective working relationship with leadership at the ACU. After completing his undergraduate degree, it was evident that CJ's skill-set could further the Mission of the ACU and he was brought on as the full-time Media Communications Specialist. During CJ's tenure the ACU wholly revamped its communications platform heralding a new era of outreach and growth for the ACU. Among these changes are a revitalized and vibrant newsletter that integrates seamlessly into the recipients inbox and connects directly to the ACU website. CJ created a new website for the ACU utilizing up-to-date features and design. CJ added a fresh take to the ACU's Facebook social media platform that had become dormant and stale; he also initiated an ACU instagram page to introduce recent social media tools that permit the ACU to engage young adults. Most importantly, CJ built from the ground up the first-ever ACU smartphone application. The ACU App delivers the latest content and information immediately to the user's smartphone permitting Agrupados and other users to connect directly to a livestream, listen to the latest homily from our Director, and get the most recent information on events.

Join us in thanking CJ for sharing his talent with the ACU and taking us into a new era of communication and outreach. CJ will continue to further his career in communications with Belen Jesuit Preparatory School and particularly the alumni office. May the Lord continue to bless him and provide him with opportunities to further his professional development.
