Esto Vir Group

The Esto Vir Group met last Tuesday evening on ZOOM to discuss the problem of evil. The Group delved into a philosophical discussion of evil utilizing descriptions from St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas. We tackled the existence of Satan and Hell. We discussed societal evil and natural disasters. We touched upon the pandemic, the existence of viruses, and untimely deaths. We also discussed the problem of original sin and its effects, such as concupiscence. Next week, the Group will address why God permits evils, tragedies and suffering to occur in our lives.
