Esto Vir Group

The Esto Vir Group met last Tuesday evening on ZOOM to discuss our understanding of saints and the communion of saints. The Group discussed the process of being proclaimed a saint, the significance of that proclamation, and how we should live with the saints as role models. The Group also addressed various controversies recently making headlines attempting to rewrite the lives of certain saints, such as Junipera Sera. To fully understand that controversy, the Group addressed the often false premise of judging past actions by current societal norms. They also addressed the understanding of race and national origin at different times in history.
