DC Chapter Spiritual Exercises
We are grateful that the DC Chapter was able to host the Spiritual Exercises this past weekend at the Washington Retreat House. Last year, the Exercises were cancelled due to the pandemic. This year, the DC Chapter, under the leadership of Alex Navarro, had to overcome a series of hurdles to host the Exercises, and thanks to his efforts, and God's graces, the Exercises were a success! Alex was able to secure the attendance of Fr. Ted Trinko and Fr. Diego Ruiz to direct the Exercises. Both priests are part of the Institute of the Incarnate Word. You can learn more about that community at these links:

Additionally, the Exercises were scheduled to be held at Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center. However, on Monday of the week the Exercises were scheduled, the Bethesda Retreat Center experienced certain system failures and was unable to host the Exercises. Thankfully, those in charge at the Bethesda Retreat Center worked with Alex to secure a spot at the Washington Retreat House operated by the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement. We are grateful to Alex and all those men that attended for their flexibility and patience.
