CAMINO IGNACIANO 2022 (UPDATED JULY 4, 2022)

CAMINO IGNACIANO 2022 (UPDATED JULY 4, 2022) Our group of caminantes now is at thirty from twelve to eighty three years old. Around ten caminantes had to cancel due to health issues. Twelve of us will meet in Leon on Thursday July 21st to visit the birth place of Father Amando Llorente SJ in Mansilla Mayor with Efrain Zabala & Carlos “CJ” Cristobal. We begin in Loyola on Friday July 22 nd and start walking from there until reaching Montserrat on Thursday July 28 and arrive in Manresa Saturday July 30th for the celebration on Sunday July 31st . On this day the “Puerta Santa” in “La Cova” will be closed again until the next “Holy Year”.

After we will go to “La Seu” (cathedral in Catalan) for the closing Mass. On Friday July 29th from Montserrat our caminantes have been invited to participate in the radio program “Con los Ojos de Maria” which is transmitted live from Barcelona. On this day this program will be aired directly from Montserrat. This program can be watched on www.nseradio.com at 3pm (Spain time) or if you are in Miami via Radio Paz (830AM) at 10am EST or www.paxcc.org if you live outside South Florida. In addition their plan is to be also aired via UTUBE.

Our group is led by Father Julio Minsal-Ruiz SJ, (Belen 2013) & Father Jose G. Cedeño SJ from Puerto Rico both in Rome at the present time. Our ACU group includes Ramon Machado, Gil Ascunce MD, Carlos Muñiz and Nicolas Muñiz, Joe Mojena and Ignacio Abella.
