2022 Llorente Foundation Scholarship Recipients
Last week, the Miami Chapter held Mass for the first time in the recently completed Our Lady of Belen Chapel. The Father Amando Llorente, S.J., Foundation, Inc. contributed $1 million to the construction of the Chapel through its grant program. It was also the first time that our Director, Fr. Saenz, served as main celebrant at the Chapel.
Following Mass, two Esto Vir graduating seniors were recognized as recipients of the 2022 Llorente Scholarship. Each senior was awarded $7,500.00 payable in four installments over the first year of college. The recipients were:
Matias Barbosa: Matias completed high school through the home school program, which also permitted him to advance his college career. Matias will continue his studies at Miami-Dade College then transfer to Florida International University to major in Mechanical Engineering. Matias has participated in the Esto Vir Group for four years. This year, he served as president of the Group and assisted in the planning and execution of all meetings.
